Yay! Very exciting news. Well done on growing a winky, now is probably the only time that you can claim to having your very own boy bits! (had to edit due to your spam filter!! It rhymed with venus!!)
Allison hit the nail on the head: having a boy is going to be very good for our budget considering we STILL want to buy every other baby dress we see. But oh, we had so much fun picking out boy stuff yesterday. So much fun.
That is awesome!! Congrats! On the plus side Wombat would make an interesting boys name…LOL…KIDDING! (unless you like it then full credit can go to me)
EEEE! You two totally win at the baby gender announcement thing. That was awesome. I actually shrieked with laughter and excitement when the hot dog appeared.
Congrats Now lets see who can hatch their boy first! I look forward to reading your amazing stories and epic adventures with son. And you can always come read about mine. Is the end of December ever going to get here?

CONGRATULATIONS! I loooovvve boys, yay.
So, are you going to be “a girl and a boy and another boy?” Or perhaps, “a girl and a boy and a MAN, ladies and gentlemen.” You know, since Simon’s being forced to move up a rank.
Not for nothing, but I knew it. You looked WAAAAAY too good to be carrying a girl. (Or did I already drunkenly tell you that in between our cat convo?) It might just be a middle eastern voodoo thing, but we totally go by that.
Being that I have one of each, I will say that each come with their own plusses and minuses. But a son’s love is unbelievable. The cliches are true. Somedays were overwhelmingly claustrophobic how into me he was, but now that he’s all up in Daddy’s grill I kind of miss that.
Regardless, spoil those cats while you still got it in you. It’s over for them.
Coming from a mom who was certain she wanted, and was having a girl the first time around and then found out that she should never trust her instincts, congratulations! Boys are awesome.

Congrats!! How exciting to look forward to December and the welcoming of your son.
I have some great ideas for Baby’s First Drag Show. We’ll talk.

Yay for boys!! Congratulations!!! (I wanted a girl too, and got a boy, and he’s just the greatest most wonderful adorable gift ever. And boy clothes are pretty darn cute too.)
I, like you, more see myself as the mother of daughters (DRESSES!) but I also like to remember that as a mother to a son, I’ll get a chance to tip the balance and raise the sort of man this world needs more of.
Which you and Simon will most assuredly do. One of the good guys, that’s your little wombat. And this world needs them!
Congratulations!!! I hope you’re ok with having a boy, it took me a little while to come around because I REALLY wanted another girl… but now that he’s here, I can’t imagine him any other way. This is great news – whee!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! A boy!! All the guys I know are totally protective of their mamas – it’s so sweet. You have a lot to look forward to. I really want a boy (which pretty much ensures that I will have a girl, right?).
Just before going into my 18 week ultrasound I looked at my sister and said “I hope I don’t cry if they tell me its a boy.”
My little boy just turned 2 and I wouldn’t turn him in for all the little dresses in the world. The overalls, plaid shorts, and t-shirts have been just as much fun.
Congrats! We are having a boy too, and I am sad to miss out on all the little dresses, but my new dream is to get a set of pinstriped overalls with a matching train conductor hat. So cute!
We have three… hold onto your walls ’cause boys, while easy to throw food and a bar of soap at in their teens… are rough and tumble tough as youngins’!
I hope you both know how to wield drywall.

I’ve been going through the archives to see what I missed and it made me cry and laugh and extremely happy for you both. Congratulations, you guys are going to be the best parents…
That video was very cute. I always feel weird saying things like “congratulations!” in instances like this because I’m sure you will love your baby to bits no matter what the sex is.
so i guess it’s ballgowns and tiara time?. . .

SO EXCITED!!
Ooooh the suspense was KILLING me. I bet Simon is stoked! Another little musician in the making?
Congratulations! I wouldn’t trade my nephew in even though girls have always been my favorite flavor of kid.
Yeah! Congratulations. Love the little movie; you two are going to rock the parenting world!
That is awesome!! Congrats! On the plus side Wombat would make an interesting boys name…LOL…KIDDING! (unless you like it then full credit can go to me)
You guys are going to have a blast! (And can you be my parents too? That video was awesome.)

Congratulations on the boy news. Now I’ll have someone to pass on my worldly filthy things to.

EEEE! You two totally win at the baby gender announcement thing. That was awesome. I actually shrieked with laughter and excitement when the hot dog appeared.

(Answer: it’s free)
hahaha! That was AWESOMENESS.
Now it’s time to start focusing on names.
Personally I prefer:
Yul Log
No one will know his middle name is log. You can just pretend he’s named after Yul Brynner!
We just had our first, a boy, last week and let me just say that I HAD NO IDEA how much I could love someone until I met him. Baby boys rock.
That was the best announcement I’ve seen. Congratulations!!!
AAAH!! Congratulations!!
I find out tuesday, CAN’T WAIT!
That video was awesome! Congratulations! Are you finding that boy names are harder to pick out than girls?
The clothes aren’t as cute but boys are amazing and so much fun. I love being a mum to two little monkeys!
I am so excited for you both! Watch out for those diaper changes though.
Congrats on the boy! Remember, it should always point down when diapering.
Awwww! Congrats! He’ll be so loved
Awwwww! I love little boys! Hoooray!
a boy! a boy!
awesome!
Congrats! Very awesome way to share the news =)
Congratulations!!! I hope you’re ok with having a boy, it took me a little while to come around because I REALLY wanted another girl… but now that he’s here, I can’t imagine him any other way. This is great news – whee!!!

Gosh, is it dumb for me to say I had a feeling it would be a boy-creature?
Anyway, YAY! Congratulations! Can’t wait to meet the little feller (you know, like by reading about him here and stuff).
HOT DOG!
A boy! Awesome. Now, when can I send on the Windy City Rollers onesie that all babies need?
Congratulations to you and Simon.
Totally Awesome!

That video was very cute. I always feel weird saying things like “congratulations!” in instances like this because I’m sure you will love your baby to bits no matter what the sex is.
For everyone’s info – Leah did the video all by herself. I was playing video games at the time.
Awww! A sweet baby boy! Congratulations!
Best. Video. Ever! Congratulations!
