Grunge Baby

Sometimes, say, if you can't seem to get around to cutting your son's hair, it's better to just let him dress the part. Or, in this case, let Daddy dress him.

(The shirt's a hand-me-down from Simon's cousin's kid, the shorts were a gift from my cousin and his wife (he's the last kid I babysat!), the shoes are new from Target, and the hairstyle is from neglect.)

(The socks are a pair of mine that were always too big. He's wearing them backward, so the red heels become knee patches.)

Mama's little hoodrat.

Well, he's the cutest little hoodrat I ever did see.

Hairstyle is COMBED and clearly lacking food so I say you can't claim complete neglect! =)

He's so huge. I can't believe he's a month younger than mine. (She's petite. And a girl. And more given to pink.) But, I mean, he totally looks like a kid.

Is that an awesome white picket baby safety fence?

Those socks are fantastic.

He looks so GROWN UP. Sigh.

SS--The white picket fence is just one of the details added by the weirdos who previously owned this house. They run alongside the stairwell in the attic. (In that last picture, Simon is standing on the trapdoor that closes over the stairs.) Weird.

I think his outfit is perfect and reminds me of the super cool outfits that the kids on Sweet Juniper wear.

So stinking cute! And what a young man!

Hoodrat, schmoodrat, I am besotted.
