Something To Laugh About
When we say he is strong, we usually mean that he has pushed up to standing since Month Three, that he can sit all by himself like a big boy now, and that he waves his arms with such ferocious glee first thing in the morning that Mommy has the shadow of a black eye.
This week we can also talk about how strong he is because he's only just six months old and he can arch up on his arms, tuck his legs under his belly (or lift up to his toes in plank pose), and GO! Crawling on his face, but still...
What we don't usually mean when we say he's strong is this: He brings grown folks to their knees (the better to play with him), he melts titanic icebergs with his smile (and you thought it was global warming), and when he laughs, he makes everything good in the world bigger, bolder, brighter. The sun is warmer on my face because of him. The backyard redwood has grown another inch because of him. The rosebushes have pushed out an extra dozen buds because of him. Who killed the electric car? I don't know because I haven't gotten around to watching that movie yet, but what I do know is that my son's laugh could power your sedan, run your microwave, and light up all vingt arrondissments of Paree.

Squeee!! I love his laugh. He looks like it is totally exhausting, too. I love how deep he breathes between laughing sets... LOVE IT!
It's impossible not to watch this and be happy to be alive! Thank you, Wombat.
Love how he pretty much falling over from laughter! My GOD he's cute!
I love how he needs a few moments to compose himself before laughing his diaper off again.
PRECIOUS.
I haven't met him but I just love him! What a sweetheart!
That is some very powerful laughter. When I had babylust it was always from hearing a baby laugh. I don't know why they have to lose those laughs as they get older. One of the many injustices of life, I suppose.
But that laugh. Oh, it's wonderful!
I think your sigh of love is the best part. Please bottle up his laugh and sell it. It might bring world peace.
Dude, this totally made me tear up. (I blame the fact that I'm knocked up and hormonal...that and there's nothing awesomer than a belly-laughing baby).
