One Magic Month

One-month checkup! Since birth, the kid's head circumference has grown by four centimeters (no wonder his hats don't fit) and he's gained 2 lbs. 7 oz., (making him 9 lbs. 9 oz.) which, frankly, seems kind of insane. He's still measuring the same length (21.5 inches; his newborn sleepers still fit, albeit barely), and with that he's evened out all around: he started life being extra long and lanky, but now he's at the 50th percentile for everything, which I believe is what Mary Poppins refers to as "Practically Perfect in Every Way."

Isn't he amazing? The thirty-day infant trial period is officially over and, minor system meltdowns aside, we would like to report to the management that we are satisfied with our product. We're definitely keeping him.

:). you two are freaking insanely adorable. wombat is beautiful. absolutely beautiful. good luck in the future, and my god, you three practically don't need it.

also, firsties!!

Yay! Pictures! So adorable.
Re: Wombat's length staying the same-my pediatrician said they disregard the hospital's first measurement on length b/c it is almost always off. But then every time Squidgey was measured (which was A LOT-he was/is still a slow weight gainer so he was getting checked almost weekly the first couple months), the nurse would measure and it would show he'd barely grown, so the Dr. would come in and re-measure and always got something different.
It's hard to get those little guys to stretch out straight and stay still! :)
So basically, I never worried about length. (Also, I come from a family a midgets so the kid is kind of screwed on that front anyway.)
A weight gain of almost 2.5 lbs is awesome! You must be making super milk!

Good news, he appears thrilled to have found a pair of really awesome parents too!

He does sound perfect! It is my belief that it is the Doctors job to make new parents NUTS with the whole weight/percentile thing. Seriously.

You all look so fantastic - I looked really rather scary a month after Moira was born.

baby toes, aren't they the cutest?

Hooray! I'm glad you've decided to keep him. The photos of you guys with him are gorgeous.

GAH! baby feet! can't. get. enough.

I LOVE those bottom pics of you and pops. You look fabulous, all three of you!

Is it not amazing how incredibly perfect he is and how much you love him? It's unfathomable until it happens to you. Wonderful pictures!

Adorable photos. He's look quite handsome, I do declare!

I think the return period expired weeks ago. Not only would the restocking fee be insanely high, but you don't really want him back on the, uh, "shelf" anyhow. And really, your receipts are no good if the price tag has already fallen out of his belly button.

Exchanging him for another wouldn't work, either. He looks way too much like both of you for that to work. Plus, you'd sort of miss him.

Guess you're stuck with him. Like, forever.

Those pictures are adorable!!! So sweet. I remember when I brought both my babies home, how tiny they were!

Practically perfect in every way, indeed. So very adorable, your family of three.

Facial hair!

Being a beginner blogger personally, its important to read a decent blogger for something new. I intend to understand so much from digesting other individuals web logs and I feel that the ones you have has a ton to offer the website reader, appreciate it for finding the time and making the effort.
