Leaving--UPDATED
Our bags are packed
we're ready to go.
We're standing here
inside our door.
We hate to wake you up to say
OH HAI.
I IZ GOIN 2 HOSPITAL
I CAN HAZ BABY NOW?
(Contractions (real ones!) for about ten hours now, bloody show, "do not pass Go" orders from both the doc and her answering service=basically the whole nine yards. Here's hoping we get a kit with this whole kaboodle, eh?)
(Simon would like you to know that he packed his bag in about two minutes. Also, he thinks he's being calm, cool, and collected, but he's running around like some kind of crazed expectant father. So cute, that one. I think I'll keep him.)

UPDATED. 3:10 a.m.
Nevermind. :|
More later.

Arse.
Hang in there, you two.
never mind?? What kind of cruel joke is that??
Here is to hoping all is well! We're thinking 'bout you!

Nevermind?! Arrrgh.
Oh, that sucks. Hopefully the universe isn't crazy enough to trick you twice, so hopefully the next time is FOR REAL!
No not never mind - come on, baby!
AGH! So excited to read the first half, bummed to read the update. Sorry, lady. Chin up! You'll be a mama soon!
Frick!
Tears of excitement, then TEARS OF RAGE!
I can't imagine how you're feeling. Hopefully if the internet keeps complaining, we'll see a baby soon!
oh the start and stop labour thing is so horrible! I had it for ages with Fraser, but the upside was that he was a much easier and quicker birth than his brother so fingers crossed this will have a positive effect!
oh no, that's awful! man, i'm glad i didn't have to deal with all that labor stuff. :P
Hang in there! That means soon!
Yay! Yay! Baby! Soon!
Oh bummers. Definitely liked the beginning of the post more than the end. But that means you're close, right? As in guaranteed to have the kiddo at least a week before Christmas? Hopefully?
Come on baby!!
Obviously we're all anxiously awaiting updates!! Sending lots of positive labor vibes your way!!
Well phooey.
At least those 10 hours of contractions must have got you a little bit closer.....small consolation, but that's 10 hours less you have to go through! Fingers crossed for you.
aaaaaaaah! never mind?!?! come on baby!
I am going to give that boy a talking-to. It's not nice to tease.
First, walk, walk, and walk some more. If you can walk through the contractions their not strong enough.
Second, when you start dilating you'll know it. I don't know how to explain it, but you'll know.
Third, in response to your other gig, When SuperChic was born, 6 years ago, I went into labor early and was put on bed rest. After weeks and weeks of stupid shake inducing shots, I thought I was ok to deliver. After another bout of contractions had started I realized that something didn't "feel" right. We went to the hospital, I was 3cm, I got another shot. The next week at my exam I was at 4, the next week 5. The doctor asked if I wanted to have the baby the next morning, um yes. She told me what time to be at the hospital, and then I asked what time she would be on, because there were two doctors I really didn't want to deliver me.
So, while yes technically I was in labor on my own, I was also induced six days from my actual due date and the doctor had to break my water. My MIL was already there and was staying until the baby came no matter what, but it sure was nice to have Thanksgiving dinner at home and not in the hospital. She was due Thanksgiving Day.
I hope you are doing well, well, as well as can be. I hope you have the delivery you want, and a happy healthy baby boy in your arms soon.
Oh, boo.
Soon, grasshoppas. Soon.
Good Luck!
Awww, come ON! Madness, I say!
Go, Wombat, Go!
The only bright side of this is that I do not imagine that boy is waiting 9 whole more days. He is not.
So close! At least at this point you know he'll be home for Christmas and how exciting is that!
aaaaaaaah! never mind?!?! come on baby!
Oh my, all kinds of excitement.
Oh, Leah. This must have been a frustrating night/morning for you. But it's going to happen SO SOON, I just know it. Checking back often for updates, and sending you lots of happy thoughts and internet hugs.
Lindsey
I must have checked this entry about 100000000000 times since this morning. Hopefully the lack of updates mean that you guys are in the middle of labor right NOW! GO BABY!
Hugs to Simon, who must be a wreck right now.
My labour dust seems to be working a lot better these days (didn't work a dang sniff for me), LABOUR DUST.... COME ON BABY!!
I'm DYING OVER HERE.
Best of luck! Looks like he's getting ready to make an appearance.
I HATE false alarms. Iwent to the hospital three times the week before I delivered. Best f luck and I'll send some baby mojo your way!
