Feeling Hot Hot Hot
Busiest week ever! Must finish editing novel before Angella and HeatherB descend on Wednesday. Am on page 41 of 216. Am screwed. Should not be blogging.
But! Last weekend:
--partying with Moose and Co. at swank Rye for her birthday. See Flickr.
--partying with the same crew at Ocean Beach for Sean and Nathan's birthdays. The cops came! See Flickr (although no cop photos; didn't want to anger them further).
--attended a non-lame Scottish festival, face and chest received sunburn, belly received fish and chips, camera captured heavyweights throwing stones and logs into the air to prove their (wo)manhood. See Flickr soon.
--had to cut a hole above the stairwell in our century-old house to get quarter-century-old boxspring into the attic.
--Eve 'n' Linus, sleeping on the bed / S-P-O-O-N-I-N
--prenatal yoga: now more boring than regular yoga!
--survived second near-fainting of the week (humidity over 10 percent makes me black out and fall down; whee!).
--much waddling and grunting, and still a long way to go
Posted by Leah at July 14, 2008 03:12 PMFainting? Spooning? Partying? Yoga-ing? And that's just the START? You're busy, lady. No wonder you're feeling hot hot hot.
Posted by: elise at July 14, 2008 04:26 PMOh, sorry youre not digging yoga. I couldnt sleep without it in the 3rd.
Be careful!! OMG- you cannot be fainting.
No, no, I'm sure you'll have time to read because I'll be too busy just staring at the ceiling with my mouth open due to exhaustion. I am going to be the best houseguest ever.
Posted by: Heather B. at July 14, 2008 04:50 PMSounds like a good equation for a nap. Thinking of you...
Posted by: Elizabeth at July 14, 2008 10:33 PMI cannot think of anything witty to say because I AM BEYOND EXCITED THAT I WILL BE THERE TOMORROW.
Ahem.
Take it easy, Momma.
I'm off to check Flickr.
Posted by: Angella at July 15, 2008 04:30 AMTotally with you on the yoga (though I'd add dippy to boring--I refuse to put one hand on my "heart essence" and one on my "growing baby" without a grunt of protest). Always felt fine passing it up before, but now it seems so... required. Damn you, yoga.
Posted by: kate caldwell at July 15, 2008 12:30 PMOh! Is Rye swank? I may be going there Thursday evening for a bit.
Have fun with the ladies, and perhaps I will even see you sometime this weekend. :)
