The New Kid
Introducing the newest member of our family:
Linus Foxface Marmalade [Lastname]
Hair: Orange
Eyes: Copper
Size: Wee
Hobbies: Sleeping in the laundry hamper; caterwauling.
Big Sister Eve is not pleased but neither is she wholly uninterested. This morning she only hissed and growled when he looked at her, touched her things, howled too much, or breathed in her airspace. I think they're going to be great pals.
More later.

Posted by: FW Sunshine at October 8, 2007 01:24 PMYou're not going to be able to resist picking that little nose, either. But which name will you pick when calling the little creature?

I once saw a female orange tiger (rare). It was all I could do not to take her home.
Omigod. Delicious. I can't even deal.
Posted by: Clink at October 8, 2007 03:42 PMI LOVE ORANGE KITTIES.
Next time we visit, you're probably going to have to forciby restrain me from stealing him. I love our kitties to bits, but I love orange kitties best. Yay for your new addition!
Posted by: Emily at October 8, 2007 03:56 PMAww he is so cute :)
Glad you went with the ginger kitten.
Awwwwwwww. I want!!! So cute!!
And sounds like Eve is making progress. Mine took about a week to really accept the new little one. She then went all mama kitty for about 6 months.
So awwww! I wanna see pics of them together when Eve realizes that the little one isn't stealing all her food and attention.
I love her size!
"wee"
Wheeeee!
She's adorable. As are YOU!
Posted by: Angella at October 8, 2007 09:22 PMOh my god the ginger kitten! He is gorgeous! I am dying of envy over here!

And hey, have you happened to see the "Bubba lip" pictures on my Flickr? Would you and Simon be interested in sending me a picture of you 2 making bubba lips? Just sayin'...
lol
LOVE HIM.
So cute!! I have an orange kitty too, mine is female (rare- typically orange cats are male and tabbies are female). :)
Hope you love him!! And that we get to see lots of pictures!
Posted by: Paige at October 9, 2007 04:21 AMOh, I'm so glad to see you picked the ginger kitten.

Posted by: Sara at October 9, 2007 08:10 AMYay! I'm so glad the marmalade kitty won out. He looks sweet. They are so much fun when they are kittens.
Posted by: Sarah at October 9, 2007 08:14 AMWhat a cutie! Can't wait to see pictures of him with Eve.
Regarding the comments above, a co-worker told me this morning that female orange cats are rare (she is thinking of adopting a female orange cat). I didn't know that.
Posted by: Green Eyes at October 9, 2007 08:57 AMI know I'm a dork, but seeing Linus Foxface I went to "Linux Foxfire" in my mind. Hooray for kittens with dorky names, even if it's unintentional.
Posted by: Elenor at October 9, 2007 10:18 AMEl, I hadn't even thought of that. Linux, yes, but Foxfire, no. An explanation of "Foxface" is forthcoming.
Posted by: Leah at October 9, 2007 10:27 AMI actually patted my screen.
Posted by: Meg at October 9, 2007 11:02 AMSo sweet. I love the name!
