Everywhere a Sign

Okay, so I didn't manage to get that whole house tour thing to happen for the blog because some things came up. Some extremely urgent things *cough*hot tubbing*cough*...business things *cough*bonfire on the beach*cough*, and I simply couldn't pull myself away for even a minute. I hope you went ahead and just ate that cake and drank that champagne without me because, heaven knows, I would have done the same to you. Did the same to you, in fact. Four days after the party and we still have so much chocolate cake and champagne, I fear we'll be consuming it through the end of the year. Which, actually, is fine by me. Now I wonder when Jeeves will be back from the jeweler with my new tiara?

In related news, shallow-bowl champagne glasses float in the hot tub, and we're so glad we figured it out this early in our occupancy instead of at the very end, like when we realized that Coco Locos floated just three hours before our flight home from Puerto Vallarta last winter.

I just uploaded some party photos to Flickr and am sad to report that they aren't very good. It was dark, I put a delay on the shutter to capture the "mood," and people were wiggly, all of which means that I am left with a small collection of dark, blurry, rectangular boxes of pixels suggesting with a sort of impressionistic bent twinkle lights and glasses (real glasses) of booze. There are, however, a handful of well-lit shots of my obsessive party signage, which is surpassed in ridiculousness only by my obsessive photography of said party signage.

Fancy with real glasses. Nina feels the same way for parties, unless it's brunch in which case people can drink out of bowls for all we care.

We also don't have a dishwasher, unless you count Will.

I first started party signage in college but it was much less adorable and sweet than yours.

For example: "Don't even fucking think about it" taped to my bedroom door.

Love the photos.

Yay and yum! Everything looks so great. And I totally have the same cardigan that you are wearing, except mine is teal!

Your house looks like it was made for exactly the two of you. Really. Love the pics. One day, I swear, I am totally coming to visit!

The party pics aren't that bad. Although you're building an excuse for:

• a new Canon lense with image stabilizer (takes out the jiggle fo' shizzle)

• or a fancy directional flash that, even though fake light, can provide warm and even tones in the right situations.
