Stairway to Heaven

Remember this stairway we fell in love with at an open house in what now, only a month later, feels like a past life?

Now we have one of our own.

The stairs lead to Simon's music studio, the sunroom with the view, and the guest bedroom, possible future home of the round bed. The board on the left closes like a trap door, and the hole cut into the stairwell wall looks down into the bathroom and my built-in linen cabinet. (Still the staging furniture; we get the keys this time next week!)

Gorgeous... just gorgeous! I love all the different shades and types of wood.

Have I mentioned that I'm coming to visit? No? Oh, well I'm coming to visit because I have a severe case of house envy.

It all just looks so damn AWESOME.

Whew! Time sure flies when you're dreaming. I am excited for this week of waiting to be over, for you!!

Rock & Roll Staircase!

Can't wait can't wait can't wait.

And there's a wino down the road...

I should have stolen Oreos...

Your design looks silly on an iPhone. Then again, CL ain't any better.

The funny reasons we fall in love with a place. Your house looks AWESOME. I love the green tiles? on the wall to the left of staircase.

So cool! I'm so jealous. I don't want to live in condo-land anymore...I want a whole house too! Congratulations!

Not green tiles but a screen that belongs to the staging company.

By the way, I don't suppose you guys considered the Spectral Bride possibilities when you bought the house, did you?

Actually, we have. The house is ninety-five years old, after all...

(The contract states that no person, bride or otherwise, has died in the house during the last three years. We're going to the city records' building to check out the rest of the records just in case.)

Congrats on the house you two!

Finally back online at home, though I've been lurking for months now, thought I'd say Hey!

and share the fact that I was thinking of you Leah yesterday (and not in that faux-lesbian way that's currently running rampant in my derby league) when I read an article about a sculpture here in Chicago named "Xanadu" and compared to the movie musical we know and love... Cheers!

You should also put an incinerator toilet in EVERY ROOM. You know, just in case your housewarming party gets a little out of control. You'll thank me later.
