Scene: Tuesday night
S, surfing: Hey, Jerry Falwell died!
L: Jerry Falwell...Jerry Falwell...Conservative?...Religious?...Windbag?...
S, as if talking to an infant who has just rolled over for the first time: Good job, honey!
(I'm admittedly not so good with the politics and whatnot, being that I mostly don't care.)
Scene: Later that night
L: Look at this cute video of a newborn baby [set to the song "I've Just Seen a Face"].
S: Aw.
L: Aw.
S: Hey, who's that song by? It's really familiar.
L: Uh. The Beatles?
S: Really?
L: Are you serious? You seriously didn't know that was the Beatles?
S: I thought it sounded a bit like John--
L: --You seriously didn't know? It's the Beatles! THE Beatles. I know Jerry Fallwell and you don't know the Beatles? Hoo boy!
S: Shut up. Just shut up.
L: Dude. The Beatles.
Conclusion
I win! (Also, this morning, I totally ripped the covers off and blew on him. (ON him.))
