Hug and Mug

For all the pictures I take, and for all the pictures I take of the two of us, there isn't one single print of Simon and me up in our house. Everything is digital and everything is overwhelming and everything is transitory--how can I pick just a few favorites out of the gigs and gigs and gigs of image files on my computer, his computer, my work computer, the external hard drive?

I think I have a new favorite, though, and I think I need to print it out and put it up--frame or not--somewhere in the house before I forget about it and find a new favorite and then forget about that one too.

Kilo took this of us in his parents' backyard in England. It shows how I prefer to hug, although Simon usually insists we do the one-arm-over/one-arm-under method since he says it allows him to get a better grip and more body-to-body surface action. I think I prefer the headlock because it's very You Are Mine, I Want to Consume You, which pretty much sums up my thoughts whenever I look at him.

So, this is my favorite (for now) picture of my favorite (forever) guy.

Happy weekend, everybody. I hope you get hugged.

That is a great photo...it deserves a print, a frame, and a prominent location in your new home.

I like that one a lot too. But I think you should also do a series of prints based on the honey martini shots. I showed them to Steve and he peed. Not really, but he thought they were great.

That is the awesome photo. The only thing that would have made it better (in my humble o) is to lose the shades. Throw open those windows to the soul, etc.

I say print it big and frame it. A pic like that will never go out of style. If you get tired of it you can hang it over the toilet and really freak guests out.

The headlock hug rocks, I wouldn't have it any other way :) You guys look so happy - that's definitely a framer!

I want a hug. Or a headlock.

Very cute pic. Because you're both wearing dark colors, it almost looks like two heads springing out of one body!

Sometimes we need to feel a picture in our hands to make it real :)

That IS a great picture! I prefer the neck-grip hug also.

Okay, this is my second comment in a row and I don't want to seem stalker-esque, but seriously, how can you NOT comment on that picture?! So adorable. I, for one, kinda LIKE the sunglasses. They make you both look mysterious and intriguing, like you are two spies that happened to find love while on intersecting capers and have now joined forces. Very Mr. and Mrs. Smith, except without, um, the guns and divorce drama and adorable adopted babies....

By the way, I also love the hug analysis. Like you, Leah, I also prefer the headlock!

The headlock is a great shot, it looks like you were just caught in a moment together. Very sweet.

I know what you mean on the photos!! It took me awhile to figure out which pictures to print out from a recent trip I had. Tough decisions. The digital camera allows you so many more options!

And that is a GREAT way to hug.

Oh I just feel so warm and fuzzy inside. Wow - I don't think I have any pictures of just me and Eric. Hmmm.
