Eveaddendum
I almost forgot this video Simon took of her royal squawkiness this morning. She's taken to making these barky/croaky sounds when we gather up our stuff to leave. We've tried to fake her out before to see what it is that gets her upset--the jangle of keys? the putting on of jackets?--but she can't be fooled. SHE KNOWS.

Haha. You said "ut".
She's so sweet (and beautiful) and also seems so anxious! Does she need a cat companion?
Mikey does something similar, but it's because he wants to go outside and KILL SOMETHING.
Cats are smart. Too smart.
:)
Oh man - so cute.
Roo is a whiner. He doesn't do that when I'm leaving - he just grumbles and complains (you can totally tell it's a whine) when I don't spend my whole day playing with him.
Chatty cats are adorable though.
Methyl does this quietly to herself when she's hunting a spider or moth. I don't know if it's self-encouragement or if she's yelling at her self because she knows it'll just fly away before she gets there...
This is kind of a shot in the dark, but did you by any chance get Eve through Milo Foundation (4th street Berkeley) about 4 years ago? I swear, I've always thought Eve was a dead ringer for my boy cat Oliver. They even meow alike...

When we get ready to leave the house, I tell the dog it's time to get in his bed and he nearly trips himself to obey my command. He learned that after he realized our kitchen table legs tasted good, though.
