Sweeping Up
A brief bit of housekeeping:
1. Is my email not sending messages?
1a. Amanda, I need your phone number.
1b. Carla, Jason wants your email address.
1c. Kahli, I did not go to your high school.
1d. Tiera, thank you!
2. Has everyone received his or her postcard? Just checking.
3. We are staying in ANOTHER hotel tonight. Aaaaarrrrrggghhhbbllleeeaaahhh.
4. Fall is upon us and yesterday I broke the handle off my beloved travel tea mug. Simon bought it for me for Christmas at the Orange County Swap Meet for an undisclosed price ($1), and I love it possibly more than any travel mug has a right to be loved. "Superglue," I said. "No," he said. "Duct tape," I said. "No," he said. "Bandaid?" I asked. "Stop," he begged. "You used it and loved it until you broke it, and that's the highest compliment it--or I--could receive. Until we can think of an appopriate sendoff, we'll keep it with Funshine Bear," which, you should know, Simon packed away and flew to England in hopes that he might take it to a shooting range and blast it to bits with a shotgun. RIP, travel tea mug.
Posted by Leah at September 8, 2006 04:07 PMI did receive my postcard today, hoorah! And I am sad to say that I don't have any belts that are either trendy or big...I will be the untrendy beltless American walking the streets.
Poor travel tea mug. :-(
Posted by: Sam at September 8, 2006 06:10 PMI got my postcard yesterday too! Yay -- the best medicine I could ask for on a sick day, home with the sniffles.
Did Funshine Bear get his sendoff/blowoff?
Posted by: Marisa at September 8, 2006 06:40 PMPostcard to Bendigo, Australia accounted for...sitting pretty next to the magnetic fridge poetry :) Thanx Leah!
P.S. I'm surprised the plague didn't help you get a bit more personal space. Also, if Simon's response to the plague isn't a candidate for brownie points I don't know what is :P
You're welcome! I can't wait to see what the appropriate send off is for a travel mug!
