Taking Notes (and Making Slideshows and Screwing Up My Unsharp-Mask Settings in Photoshop)

Always invite more than one photographer.

If the stylist insists on fussy (but lovely!) hairdos, let her inflict them upon the bridesmaids.

Thistle in the bouquets and boutennieres = totally punk rock.

Surround yourself with good company.

Remember where you are and what you're doing.

But don't forget to breathe.

Location, location, location.

Be yourself.

And always exit with style.

i was kinda curious, do you use an app to sort thru your photos like apple's aperture or adobe's lightroom?. . . the last wedding i went to i ended up taking more than a thousand photos what with the rehearsal, pre-wedding prep, ceremony, reception, and day-after breakfast. . . going thru and finding the best shot of, say, the bride's hair using photoshop was clunky as hell. . .

Bloopy: I just review them in either thumbnail or filmstrip view in my little menu windows (or whatever they're called). I took over a thousand pictures on this trip and yeah, it's wearing me out. Luckily, because I don't really know how to use my camera, I usually don't take more than couple of shots of the same thing, so it's not like there's a lot of close inspection to be done about which shot is composed or lit better than another.

Jennster: I kiss you.

Fantastic, fantastic. I love the one of the bride and groom in a close moment.

Also, that one lady's legs, with the fancy heels, look like mine. Which are somewhat unusual. So rock, there's another set of Tired Irish Washerwoman legs out there.

sounds like someone has the whole wedding thing down.....teeeheee =)

dude, the thistle is TOTALLY hard-edge.

Those legs are at least half Polish. I don't know her mom's heritage, but based on looks, Irish might be exactly right.

However, she is much to energetic to be called tired, and she is certainly no washerwoman!

Looks like a funny fairytale wedding. How lovely, lovely, lovely!

Now you are going to have to do what I do and get your UK fix through Coronation Street until you can go back again.

The hats! The cute little horseman in tweed! Wonderful moments captured by Leah. Great eye.

Those are some of the most obscenely beautiful wedding photos I have ever seen ever.

Simon, I once read a description of feet as being those of a "tired Irish washerwoman," which describes my feet to a tee, and so I've always extended the same courtesty to my legs. No offense meant to the legs in question - in fact, I think they are sexy. Just nice (though unusual) to see a pair of legs that look so much like mine! (Mine come from the Irish side of my half-Irish half-Spanish great aunt, who is 87 and her legs still look fabulous).
