Simon Says - "For those who are wondering..."

...why dear sweet Leah has not posted recently, it is this:

She is busy.

We are leaving tomorrow on our BIG TRIP to England. Mel and Kilo are to be married. (Married? Ya! Mallied! Sheesh.)

So we have had a lot to do to get ready. This included a triathon, 2 parties in one night, and a concert. And Leah decided to take on a big editing project on a consulting basis. So in addition to her regular 40 hour week, she's been busting a nut on this other book during every available minute.

It was supposed to take 10 hours - she's currently worked about 40. This means that she has no time to blog.

I, on the other hand, don't ever have to sleep. It's all play for me. Saturday AM was a second triathlon in Pleasanton. Same course as last time, and I beat my previous time by almost one whole minute. Yee-Haw! Not bad, if I may say so myself. However, I have learned just how good some of these elite athletes are. My swim time is about 8 minutes... first finishers are out of the water in 4 minutes, 30 seconds. Sheesh.

Then on Saturday night was my friend's housewarming. We danced, we ate fish tacos, we made up stories about people we didn't know. Just as we were starting to grow weary of that shindig, I got a call from my friend Laurel asking what we were doing that night.

"We are at a party, but growing weary." She invited us over for her own makeshift impromptu party. So we went from one to the other. We are now officially socialites.

Then Sunday was my band's third performance. We rocked the balls off of the small crowd of attendees. Three performances and we're getting our groove together. It's fun, oh yes, it is fun.

And now I'm at work, and Leah is still grinding away at her project. She will pack today, I will pack tonight, and we will be leaving for the UK soon.

I have someone house sitting for me, and all my valuable have been taken out of my house. Phew!

I am sure that you will hear from us when we are in England. We'll give you an update on all the fords: Oxford, Stratford, Wellford.

Bye for now.

Fun times and more to come. Sounds exciting.
I hope she didn't quote that job by the hour.
