Dress Dross
You know you're a grownup when BIG, EXCITING things you should be looking forward to with such unbridled anticipation that time actually seems to be moving backward (e.g., Christmas, birthdays, trips to England) actually sneak up on you when you aren't looking.
Still needed: fancy shoes, fancy jewelry, fancy jacket or wrap of some kind, motion skiness ear patches, contacts, iPod/camera connector, haircut, a freakin' plan.
The question sill remains, however: Will the "It" dress be perfect in person and on camera, or should the runner-up dress come along too, just in case? Because I don't have good shots of either on a body (and also because I like to tease), here are a few artsy looks at the dresses I took while The Fresh Prince of Bel Air was on in the background, which is unfortunate because now whenever I see the dresses I think of Alfonso Ribero. So wrong.
Also, happy belated birthday, cat. You are a terror and a darling. And now you are five.

Ah, I now understand the Flickr photos. Bring both. And lots of underwear :)
Thanks for the teaser. From what I can see, the dress looks like a winner, but it can't hurt to have the other one waiting in the wings.
Bring both, but I seem to like the second one better. It says more "I'm pretty and at a pretty wedding" rather than "I'm frilly and cute". There's nothing wrong with frills and cute...but lacey and ruching is more...wedding appropriate, yeah?
Then again, I can't see either of them in their entirety, so I could be totally wrong.
That little lacy detail at the bottom of the dress is awesome. Wear that.
Wow they are both all kinds of lovely.
Take both, and see how you feel on the day.
I second what Kristin says. And oh, your cat. Made my cat ovaries ache. Whatever that means.
Yes, definitely take both dresses. If you are worried about carrying the accessories for BOTH dresses, then just take accessories for the dress you are most likely going to wear and perhaps you can do some last minute shopping in the UK if you decide to wear the other. OR, if possible find accessories that could work with both dresses? (Can't tell the color, so...)
Anyway, they both look lovely. You probably have enough to stress about with this trip that you should not worry over whether or not to take one more dress than you might need. (And who knows? You might actually need it.)
Also, Eve is precious.
ooooooooh pretty!
and happy birthday Eve!
I'm sure they're both smashing - take them both! Why not???
Happy Birthday, Kitty...
Always pack a second dress. You never know. However do not pack the cat. You'll never get through the xray machine at security.
looove these
