Ova

I have a buttload of projects at work (and less time in which to complete them since we slept in this morning), but there will be mention of my weekend with Simon's mom when I have the time to do it properly. For now, though, please enjoy some belated Easter goodness; I haven't had even one bite of sugar-encrusted marshmallow, so as far as I'm concerned, the holiday isn't over yet. Here are a few shots from the Ukranian wax-resist egg decorating party I went to several weeks ago.

None of these are mine because I suck, although the one I made Simon--black with blue music notes around the middle--turned out okay. Happy Easter, peeps. Stories later.

Those are amazing! I'm afraid that if I tried to make those, I would suck in a truly horrible way :)

I've been married to a teacher for too long.
See: Rechenka's Eggs, by Patricia Polacco for background and a story about these.

They are beautiful. The skill and effort involved is unbelieveable.

Wow, I am completely in awe of those beautiful eggs!! Can't wait to hear how the meeting went this weekend - Thanks for keeping us on pins and needles.

I'd call you to hear those stories but you wouldn't answer.

Holy crap those are gorgeous! They put my easter to some serious shame! Thank god I put mine out of their misery as quick as possible by making them into deviled eggs!

I love the eggs, but am not real happy you called us "peeps." My tummy does sort of feel like marshmallow filling. Got to get back to running and biking and ... oh, just pass me the candy.
