March Monday Music Madness, Part the Last

Simon's band played their first gig yesterday afternoon at the birthday party of their pedal steel guitarist. They were SO GOOD. I took video of two complete songs, but I can't get them to load without crashing my computer, so no Buck Owens tribute songs for you. At least not yet.

Luckily, I took some pre-preformance jam footage, and I am therefore pleased to announce that the final installment of March Monday Music Madness features Simon on the harmonica, his best instrument. The other guy in the clip is his band's lead singer/guitarist and quite a talent himself, although he's nearly upstaged by his fancy cowboy shirt. If you click on the "Continue reading" link at the bottom of this entry, the next clip includes a third member of the band playing slide guitar on his lap and also some bitchin' solos. Music, music, music. Thanks again for listening.

Simon jams with the boys. The best part of this is the first 15 seconds. (2:05)

So AWESOME! I wish I hung out with a band so I could hang with them and enjoy pure music. Yum.

Fun!
I love that there's Handel music on the piano. :)
