From Katrina, who also happens to be the person who invited us to our first roller derby match last October (see her pictures here):
Four jobs I've had
1. assistant to the city planner (who is now my cousin's hubby!); I filed business licenses, colored toothpicks to be tree trunks for scale models, and drove the mayor's luxury sedan when he wasn't looking
2. bookseller at Barnes and Noble; I don't like going into bookstores now because I'm compelled to organize the shelves
3. copyeditor for the daily paper at college; I got paid more than everyone else even though I had the easiest job
4. editorial assistant for a new-agey magazine; I wrote feature stories and played with the office cats and picked strawberries in the garden and strolled a baby around the block
Four movies I could watch over and over
1. Wizard of Oz
2. Newsies
3. Grease II
4. The Incredibles
What am I? Six?
Four places I've lived
1. West Jordan, Utah
2. Neuchatel, Switzerland (one-month study abroad)
3. Berkeley, California
4. Oakland, California (if you count Simon's house, which I do and so should you)
Four tv shows I watch
1. Gilmore Girls
2. Carnivale (on DVD)
3. Beauty and the Geek (perfect for when the boy is at band practice so I can be judgemental and snobby in private)
4. Dr. Phil (so bad it's good)
This was hard. I guess I'm not quite the tv whore I used to be. Thanks, boyfriend!
Four places I've vacationed
1. Manhattan
2. Paris
3. Montreaux (during the jazz festival!)
4. Canada (Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria Island)
Four of my favorite dishes
1. nigiri sushi (gotta have the rice)
2. McDonald's filet o' fish meal
3. mom's surprise potatoes
4. cereal
Four sites I visit daily
1. Secret Agent Josephine
2. Debaucherous and Disheveled
3. Be the Boy
4. Sweet Juniper
I check all the sites on my sidebar (and more) about a jillion times a day. These four are among the first I check in the morning.
Four places I would rather be
1. riding bikes
2. in a jacuzzi outside a mountain chalet with the snow coming down
3. at a concert with all of my favorite bands and no line for the bathroom
4. the future
Tagging: Beck, AliRose, Sam, Tan, and Tina.
NEWSIES! Me too! I never expected to see anybody else that had even seen the movie. My best friend and I would watch it over and over again.
Posted by: R*Belle at February 3, 2006 01:27 PMHey, thanks!!
Posted by: tina at February 3, 2006 02:16 PMOK, I'm down with the whole having to organize the shelves thing. But a Filet O'Fish meal? Really? Seriously? Just wondering, because I worked at McDonald's for nearly two years while in high school and I think I made a total of five of them the entire time.
Posted by: Texas T-bone at February 4, 2006 02:05 PMThe love of the filet of fish confirms that we are indeed soul sisters.
Also? When did you vacation in Calgary and how did I miss that?
Posted by: Kristin at February 4, 2006 08:24 PMI too always wondered who kept the filet o' fish alive. NOW I KNOW!
and yes, when were you in Edmonton and why?
xo
Posted by: jenB at February 4, 2006 11:24 PMNewsies AND Grease II?! I think I love you.
Posted by: newgyptian at February 5, 2006 03:53 AMOh, wowzas. I've been tagged! :) This one should be fun.
And Dr. Phil? Oh lord. :P
Posted by: Sam at February 5, 2006 06:33 AMLadies--My Edmonton and Calgary trips happened when I was about 12 years old. Sorry I didn't stop by and say hello, but sometimes it's hard to get away when you're with your parents, you know?
