Number 757

Your comments were a lovely surprise to start the day with. I wasn't really fishing for compliments or daily affirmation fodder, but I'm also not one to complain about such generosity and kindness, so thank you, thank you all. I promise that just because I'm no longer on the rollercoaster, that doesn't mean the blog will slump into boringness. There will be crockpots, sure, but also bonfires and skydiving and death-defying eating of strange foods and talking to strange people. Stuff like that.

Tonight I'm going to have a few hours to load Halloween and Salt Lake and roller derby pictures. Simon has a band audition (bass guitar) in the evening, which means I have a huge chunk of alone time to take care of business not easily handled while sitting on someone else's lap. Once we get his place in order, I hope to have some regularly scheduled blogging time at home so I don't have to post on the company's paycheck, but something tells me we'll find a way to stay run-around busy. We'll see how it goes.

I also have the results of the How Fat Is Stan contest. More on that tonight as well.

For now, it's back to work with me. Piles and piles and piles of paper, deadlines deadlines deadlines. Cough drops, Airborne, leftover Halloween candy, and stroking my new shiny shiny nails. (Simon allowed himself (at my prodding) to get suckered into buying me one of those Dead Sea nail buffing kits. To stop the biting! Or, as Frenchie the Sales Goon said, "To make them smooth when you nibble.")

"I haven't slept a full night in days and days. We need to slow down."

"You're preaching to the choir, brother."

"To sleep..."

"...perchance to dream..."

"...and maybe some rubbing..."

"Rubbing, eh?"

"Aye."

"Oh."

"You!"

*in nerdly unison* "Why?!"

Hey Leah-
I'm headed out to your neck of the woods this weekend for a few days, is there anything in SF that you tell everyone they must see/try/experience/avoid?
Thanks!

Just for the record, it is never boring to hear anything about you finding joy and love with a great guy...even if it involves crockpots! Enjoy!
