Falling
The heavy fog this morning--and the chill and the chai lust and the scarves and the woody smell of campgrounds and campfires--are making me crazy to get home in seven days. I haven't been to Salt Lake since Christmas (has it really been that long?) and right now the leaves are changing in the canyons at full speed. O, you Alpine Loop, you turnaround at Brighton, you Donut Falls (that is now apparently closed to the public). Hold fast to your colors. Wait for me.

Babe, you can see the same sorts of sites in the mountains of Northern California, not far from where you're already at... and there aren't as many mormons! :)
Take a drive up Highway 32 and circle back down Highway 70.
