From the "There's a First Time for Everything" Department
Today I said to myself for the first time ever, "Self? Are you emotionally high maintenance? Is it possible that you've evolved from a selfish-and-bratty-child-turned-compassionate-and-apologetic-young-adult into a melodramatic gimp in desperate need of a crutch and an audience?"
It was then that Self told me she'd have to think about that question for a while and then she pointed behind me and said, "Look! Cake!" and when I turned back around she was gone.

I think this is a 'girl thing'...aren't we all emotionally high-maintenance?
"Look, cake!!!" (she says as she ducks out...)
I don't think women are the only ones who become enamored with drama although I do believe they have made it into an artform. I apologize for the misogyny, but I've had quite a bit of experience with women who have these tendencies.
It has changed me as I'm sure it changes anyone who has to deal with such a personality for a long period of time.
Now, I can spot it a mile away and I run... unless there is cake, in which case, all bets are off.
